Restaurant Review – La Cave Lanzerac

La Cave Lanrezac

  • Intimate, great staff & reasonable prices
  • La carte de vin‘ is non existent. What? No wine menu?
  • Not quite…  What’s better than being accompanied by the ”propriétaire” down a spiral wooden staircase and walking into the restaurants wine cellar to pick out your bottle for dinner? ♥
  • Simple menu, beautiful plating (always a sucker for great plating) and full of flavor

What I ordered :

  • Le rouleau de printemps aux crevettes, vinaigrette au sesame
Shrimp spring rolls with sesame dresssing
  • Les aiguillettes de poulet facon milanaise, roquette, concassée de tomates et mozza
Crushed mozza and tomatoes, milanese chicken filet  and roquette salad
  • Le croustillant filo pistache, crème légère et framboise
Crunchy filo pistachio pastry, light cream and raspberry
  • Vin Blanc Chateauneuf du Pape – 2012 Château de la Gardine
I never knew Chateauneuf du Pape made a white wine until yesterday! Apparently they don’t export the whites very often…

I commend this restaurant for it’s simplicity at the same time keeping quality a main focus..
and ‘le coup de grace’ being a ‘fait maison‘ taste!
